discovery
This page is for setting related questions and submissions for things to flesh out the world building of the Crucible. Anything not firmly established on the setting page but could be something useful for common reference should go in here so that it can be referred to by everyone.
You don't need to vet every room/object/etc through this post so long as it makes sense to the setting. However, if you are unsure or want to establish something unique or would like context from the mod, please submit through the request form below.
Categories of Discovery
LocationsThis can be anything from a specific room within the Lonely Fortress, a building in the sunken village, or an isolated structure somewhere else in the Crucible. All structures within the setting reflect a pre-industrial lifestyle and architecture. Over time, some have been converted to fit a different purpose to fit the needs of the exiles using them. ObjectsAnything that would be native to the Crucible: plants, animals, supplies, weapons, etc. Keep in mind the availability of technology and materials limited to what is brought by exiles from more modern settings.
If you are looking for a specific item or something that would be considered a character token/trinkets, those sort of requests will only be available through night market events or redeeming favors submitted through bonus activity.KnowledgeA piece of the puzzle to broaden understanding. This covers: books, lore, hearsay, manners of instruction for development of practical and magical skill. EchoesAn echo is a temporary haunting that establishes a divergence from the current setting/world state. An echo is an imprint of a memory manifested into reality by the egregore. This phenomenon encompass combination of the above categories of people, places, and things to a certain degree of limitation. Echoes can be experienced by anyone once they are established.
These hauntings can only occur in place that spatially make sense and can last from minutes to hours. They appear in moments of yearning, nostalgia, or reminiscence, however they don't directly replay or represent any specific memory. Echoes can be revisited, however there's no guarantee when or for how long they will reappear. There's also no continuity between echoes, as they reset every time they reappear.
Echoes offer complete immersion, so everything within it can be interacted with as if it were real. Echo people can be touched and talked to, however any in-depth interaction will reveal that they are merely the shell of a person. Objects created by the echo can be used in any capacity, however they will disappear when the echo fades (unless its from the night market). Food/drink/substances consumed within the echo will produce the expected effects of satiation or inebriation that can continue to affect the body after the echo fades.Example: Occasionally, red lanterns can be seen glowing in a corridor of the sunken village late at night. The lights lead to a lively speakeasy rife with debauchery, dancing, and music. The club is packed full with patrons wearing masks, indulging their every dark desires. When the sun rises, the speakeasy returns to a dilapidated ruin and nary a soul to be found.

SEEKING – information on curing a servitor
WHAT DO YOU SEEK?: information on how to cure a servitor, whether that's some rite or ritual that must be completed or a physical (perhaps medicinal) cure
WHERE ARE YOU SEARCHING?: the library
no subject
The library contains a vast wealth of knowledge, mixed among gilded tomes lie dusty, unmarked journals of exiles past. It's difficult to discern where most of these books came from or if any of them might be of use to you.
After hours of digging, you are unable to find that any such rite or ritual has been recorded.
However, one such journal that comes across your desk theorizes that by starving the servitor may, in theory, force it to self-exorcise its host.
If physically bound to one location—indefinitely without a manner to sustain itself— shouldn't it seek out another with similar grievings to feed on?
What other knowledge doth Morfydd seek?

WHERE ARE YOU SEARCHING?: the assembled items from Agnete's rooms

A gold-plated coin with a jester's mask on one side and the caricature of a bear in a hat with the number '1' embezzled on it. An arcade token from another world.
